I’m pleased to share my law review article, “Use of the National Guard on the U.S.–Mexico Border to Quell Border Security Concerns,” published in the Indiana Law Review. The article argues for expanding legal authority under 32 U.S.C. § 112 to improve coordination between federal and state governments on immigration-related border defense.
This article offers a legal roadmap for improving how the federal government and border states collaborate on National Guard deployments. As immigration and border security continue to evolve, robust legal tools are essential—for policy effectiveness and constitutional clarity.
