Sam Sliney, a judge advocate in the US Air Force, shares her journey in the military and the challenges of being in a mil-to-mil marriage. She discusses how she became a JAG and the different paths to becoming a military lawyer. Sam also talks about the difficulties of being co-located with her husband, who is in the Army, and the logistics of childcare and moving.

 

She highlights the need for better childcare resources and policies that support dual-military families. Sam is part of the Department of the Air Force Women's Initiative Team, which works to identify and eliminate barriers that impact women's service across the department.
